It is not often that I am impressed, especially with painting. However, I was motivated enough by Big Apple Painters [here referred to as NYC Apartment Painters - Jim and his crew] to visit Yelp and give some Kudos where it is due.
Another agent from the office had suggested them months earlier for my own place and the results were amazing. My biggest pet peeve with most contractors is the way they leave things for you to clean up after the job. When I came home that day, the apartment was spotless to the extent that if not for the beauty and the smell of fresh paint, you could not tell the place was just painted. I spent some time wondering what kind of dedication and training sets this company apart from the rest. Of course, I got into my routines and kept going with my life.
Then couple of weeks back, I needed to have an apartment fixed, painted, and primed for a client before the showing. Naturally, I called them, got a timely quote, timely appointment, and no dancing around. On the day of the appointment, I got the keys back in less than 9 hours. Inspected, the apartment the next day and was totally blown away by the workmanship. I was not expecting a Luxurious finish, and trust me I see a lot of luxury buildings almost everyday in Manhattan. As do most Manhattan Real Estate Agents. I had thought maybe they were just trying to make a first impression the 1st time around. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised to find out it was business as usual for these guys!
If you need any kind of painting done, I will suggest you do yourself a favor and give them a call. The rates are divine, and yet the results are superior.

The guy I got on the phone ((I think his name was Jim),asked a lot of questions before giving me a quote.
Most of the damage was in the main studio area, and he talked me through the entire thing. I decided to have it done, and the guys who came to do the job were just as professional as the guy who gave the quote. They found even more problems with the previous paint job, but they stuck to the quote. I certainly am not a handyman, but they were patient with what I'm sure they thought were silly questions.
I would never have been able to have people over the way it was. They didn't do a good job - they did a better job than I anticipated. They did such a good job fixing the spots with the damage that if I didn't tell you where it was, you wouldn't find it.
I told a friend of mine who was thinking of doing her apartment herself about them, and she said she also had a really good experience. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone for any size job.

I was looking to have my living room repainted, I asked around for recommendations and a friend in Chelsea recommended them. I gave them a call, got a decent quote and made the appointment for the next day. Very straightforward. They arrived on time and there was no waiting for hours for them to show up like some other places. The painters were professional and clean. When they finished there wasn't a speck on the floor either.
I was happy with the work and would use them again if needed.

The room was painted quickly, efficiently, and they didn't cut corners on drop cloths and plastic. The room was cared for, and there were no stray splatters and spills on the carpet from the job. The lines were cut nicely without sloppy edges on the ceiling and window sashes.
The guys were very courteous and professional. Plus the room looks great! I'm sure the next tenant will be very happy with the quality. Highly recommended.

Tim did a great job; I highly recommend him. I needed to paint my apartment to ready it for a new tenant. To, came to the residence and did a cost assessment which I greatly appreciated. We communicated details over e-mail which I liked as well. On the day of the paint job, he and his assistant worked extremely quickly and efficiently. They also covered up any holes that needed patching before the paint job. I will definitely use Tim again; his costs were fair, he is very nice and a patient person that will answer your many questions if you have them, and he did an excellent job that was quickly turned around.

Based on the other reviews, I called Tim to paint my hallway. I couldn't be more pleased! He and his partner were here at 8:00 am this mornng, as promised; their work was very neat and the price was very reasonalbe. Best of all, my hallway looks beautiful. Absolutely would recommend him!
